Thigh cremations
All is well in the world and I am respecting myself by putting good things in and burning up the flab. That is right…. more thigh cremations today!
I have not paid much attention to my beads lately and I have some gifts to make so that is a priority today. Maybe I will even make something for myself.
But first, I must be a grown up. So I am off. I wish you all good health and much happiness. Thanks to the many who put a smile on my face yesterday and today.
(Does anyone have any exercise ideas for the thighs. I know some say spot training does not work. But it is really the only place that I NEED to lose. Thank you for ANY ideas :)

Yep, spot training doesn’t work but I do know what will build up a lot of muscles in your thighs (which will of course make them look tighter and leaner) and that is using the elliptical trainer on the correct incline. Some have pictures of which area of your body gets the most work based on the level you set it on. It is great for tightening the buns, the thighs and the hips and burns a heck of a lot of calories which results in fat loss (as long as you aren’t eating up what you burn)

Hi,
I jog on a mini trampoline 35 min 2 times a day. And have lost 5 inches on my thighs in 2 1/2 mos.
Now I need to work on the tummy lol.
Hope this helps!

That is something I’ll be wanting to read you input as well… my problem is similar - I have these awful saddle bags, it’s in the family, oh well… I think anyone in this position would probably be inclined to do lower body workout a lot. Let me tell you what didn’t work for me. I used to use the stepper machine for all my cardio workout and what happened was disasterous. The muscles on my thighs, the rear, but ESPECIALLY on my calves, sure, became strong, but also extremely bulky. Now, with the extra material I’m packing there already in terms of fat, I looked like a working horse, if you know what I mean…
.
Then I really switched to the lean-muscle creating exercises - as low impact as possible, and things (thigs and calves situation) improved dramatically. I’m doing a looot of conditioning on a stationary bike, the low power-high velocity setting and it workes perfectly for me. So, basically, what I’m saying is, I would suggest any kind of high-repetition, low power exercise, to avoid the bulky appearance. As for the things that I haven’t tried, well, they say that swimming is the best thing to shed that area - it seems logical, muscles work hard and the flabby parts get lots of massage at the same time. I will much appreciate your opinion and experience on this…
I was a dancer in high school and had amazing legs, but I quit dancing my senior year. I’ve been doing Pilates on and off again since my freshman year of college, and when I’m serious about them they get the job done really well. The leg work is kinda like doing all the bar work that I used to do, but in a horizontal fashion, and trust me it does the job. It’s also great for the abs! Good luck!
Exercise ideas… hmm….
I know we have all heard that you can’t spot train, but you can tone-up in some places. I would recommend a good fat-busting walking/jogging routine 3-4 times per week. That will help take the fat off. (It’s been working WONDERS for me!) Then, you can add leg exercises that don’t require any weights. Some fun ones to choose from: walking lunges, stationary lunges, squats, jump squats, side lunges, etc. There are some other fun things at websites like this: http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/fitness/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/fitness/story/data/1142881574065.xml&categoryid=/templatedata/fitness/category/data/1145289733549.xml&page=1 that you can try. Just google leg exercises. There are millions out there!
Good luck!

Thighs and Booty actually… and the cool thing is… you can doit laying in bed! Flat on your back.. arms flat at your sides… Raise your leg and hold it breathe in through your nose and out your mouth hold it as long as you can then let down… Do one leg at a time… I learned this from my bariatric physical trainer… keep it up, you can do it every day whenever you feel like it… You’ll have firm thighs and that whole J-LO booty thing goin’ on in no time…
And if your boyfriend wants to join you, tell him the same thing except substitute J-LO for baseball or football booty, whatever he likes or you like… after all, BOOTY is in the eye of the beholder…
LOL. Mark
