Trying so hard to be good

I have been truly awful lately diet wise and so since my hockey team (the Oilers) and I have both been sucking, I decided to post my legs. Maybe THE OILERS WILL START TO WIN TOO!!! Most who know me have never seen my legs, well, they are looking pretty okay these days and I would like them to not go back to a time where they were the body part I would do anything to hide. So, I am trying to be a good girl these days and stop eating junk. NO MORE CRAP. What good is a detox if I continue to eat nutritionally deficient foods (white bread, corn nuts?, tarts, SUGAR!) Just trying so hard to get back to my good place. I thought I was there, but it is tough to get back after a bad 2 months of being a little junkie. Only my muscles have saved me from not increasing my clothing size.

And yes, gentle, gentle gentle……. Just do not want to feel awful anymore……..

It is not even about the weight loss or getting to goal, it is just about achieving good health by feeding myself better.

Peace and happiness….

Wow, I get to be the first one to put a comment on a Canadian gal’s blog, how super for me! And you look like such a studious girlie, I am so glad to see that you also play hockey. It must be wonderful to be in a land where the European influence is that much stronger, and where one can get away from those stupid rose bowls and pink bowls, and whatever kind of crappy bowl seasons they have here. I should be organizing my thoughts much better I suppose, but then a jovial mood is a jovial mood. What do your legs look like? Are they the slender kind below the knees and quickly thiken up moving upwards from the knee? Sorry, it brought out the curious cat in me. Sorry too I don’t happen to have something more wise to say for now, but I do wish you to achieve what you need, for your personal goals and for your team. :)

Ahhhhh, there’s no such thing as being bad, you know that…it’s all in the choices we make! Soooo, that being said, I’m glad to hear that you’re slowly but surely getting back to that place where you feel healthy and happy!! I’m so glad to have read your blog…you have no idea what kind of day it’s been….crazy…and busy. But mostly crazy!! LOL!

Yeah, time to get back to that healthy feeling in your stomach and lightness in your body and mind. Detox? Winter cleaning? Gentle care? Whatever it is, go for it Jen.

Oh boy, do I need to unpack that light therapy device from my basement!

    Hugs,

    T.

lots of love and peace for you as you work your way back to where you prefer to be. it’s so easy to be rough on ourselves and to stray from what we truly want but you can do anything!

Time to nip in the bud… and the only way to do that is to not put it in our mouths for at least 3 days… then the cravings for it diminishes quite rapidly. We both know this.

So here’s my challenge to you. You know how I love challenges… MWAHAHA…

    From now until Monday morning…

    NO chips of any kind.
NO refined carbs of any kind.
NO sugar of any kind (Splenda acceptable).

I know you don’t like to limit yourself, but I think it will help us both to jumpstart putting an end to those nasty cravings and give us the energy we need to get going on the right track. It’s doable for 2 1/2 days. What do you say? You game? Think of yourself as an Oiler team member and this is the rules for the team. Report back Monday.

    Ready, set, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

    Hugggggggggggggggggs,
    Shan

Thank you Jo, Tatiana, Debbie and Shanna. I am taking this challenge. I will report back. Instead of sweeteners I will use cinnamon. Ooooh, I can be an Oiler team mate in my head. The team is depending on my good behavior to help the team. I am such a geek. Love it.

NO CAKE ON MY BOYFRIEND’S B-DAY ??? I can do it. I have had enough junk !!!

Your legs look spectacular “dahling”…and envy you on playing hockey, I miss those days…maybe I’ll join a team again one of these years!! Sorry dear but the Canucks are gonna beat the Oilers this year…(hope I won’t be taking my foot out of my mouth come playoffs lol) !!!! You’ll get back on track, the holidays are sooooo hard with all the sugar treats, once you get it out of your system you’ll be rolling along smoothly again!
