Feed the need

Woke up FAMISHED and so I listened to my body and fed it what it wanted and I assume needed.  Eggs/egg whites and whole wheat sprouted grain bread.  It is nearing the grouchy emotional time and I feel I just need to not deny myself what my body most likely needs.  NO I DO NOT NEED all the countless junk cravings, but I sure did need those eggs today.  Funny how such a healthy food could be seen as a treat this AM.  But I just have not wanted them until today.

I had such a distaste and then a full-out desire, what is up with this?  Listen, learn, experience, learn some more….. Love.  Not doing enough loving of myself today.  Need to believe in me and trust.  My mantra…. I am good enough when I am just being true to me.

Off to do yoga and study….

    Now see? You seem to be so “in tune” with your body and what it is truly craving/needing. I have a lot of trouble recognizing. It seems like all I ever crave lately is sugar. *sighs*

    But then again, maybe I am in tune more than I think. I brought leftovers to for lunch today… apple pork tenderloin, steamed carrots with mint, and homemade rice pilaf. For some reason, I doubled up on the tenderloin and the left the rice off my plate. Maybe because I had barley for breakfast and my body doesn’t want more grain, I don’t know. LOL The protein just appealed to me more.

    I’m passing out the love today, so here’s an extra helping for you my friend. :) Sending you fresh cyber herbs to plant on your balcony….

    cool!! nice when we can listen to our body and it actually tells us to eat something it NEEDS!
    btw — did you know that an egg is the perfect protein? has all the amino acids our bodies need in one little package — nice! most items in the meat group are lacking one or two of those amino acids so you have to mix and match to get what you need — reason you need to eat beans and corn together for those of you vegetarians….
    just fyi from my nutrition class.
